Loading your motorcycle safely – what you should know
These tips help you transport your motorcycle safely
- Roll the motorcycle onto the middle of the loading area and fix it in the front-wheel chock
- Attach tie-down straps to frame parts – not to fairings or mirrors
- Turn the handlebars slightly and secure them with a strap so the bike cannot tip over
- Check the lights, plug and tow ball before you set off
- On tours into the Neckar valley: check the straps regularly on steep roads
At a glance
Heidelberg combines historic charm with a location that motorcyclists love. The university city on the Neckar sits between the Odenwald and the Upper Rhine Plain – two regions whose winding country roads and varied routes make them some of the best motorcycling areas in southern Germany. From here, the A5 and A6 take you quickly to the Black Forest, the Palatinate or the Rhine valley.
With our tilting motorcycle trailer you transport your bike safely and comfortably – without a helper. The low loading height from the tilting function makes loading on your own child’s play. The built-in front-wheel chock holds your motorcycle in place while you drive, and thanks to the 100 km/h approval (Tempo 100, with a suitable tow vehicle) you move with the normal flow of traffic on the motorway. No deposit, no hidden costs.
The Neckar valley is one of the most beautiful motorcycle routes in Baden-Württemberg: upstream from Heidelberg via Neckargemünd to Eberbach, the road winds through wooded slopes and past medieval castles. Further south, the Odenwald tempts with a network of hairpin bends and ridge roads, while the Bergstraße runs along the vineyards towards Darmstadt. Whether it is the start of the season, a workshop trip or a touring holiday of several days – you book online, pick up the trailer contact-free 24/7 and are ready to go straight away. You can hire the trailer by the day or for a whole week — the rental runs completely digitally.

- Workshop trips to motorcycle dealers in the Rhine-Neckar area
- Perfect for track days at the Hockenheimring

Top destinations from Heidelberg: the Neckar valley upstream via Eberbach, the Odenwald with its hairpin bends, the Bergstraße heading south and the Palatinate west of the Rhine. For track fans, the Hockenheimring is practically on the doorstep.
No, class B is always enough. Our trailer has a fixed gross vehicle weight of 750 kg, and up to that limit class B always covers a trailer under § 6(1) FeV (German Driving Licence Regulation) – however heavy your tow vehicle is. You never need a BE extension for it; the 3,500 kg limit for the whole combination only applies to trailers over 750 kg. Only for your tow vehicle itself can a different licence class be needed from a gross vehicle weight of 3.5 t.
Our trailer tilts, it does not lower. With the tilting function the loading area tips backwards, which gives a low loading height. That is entirely enough for comfortable loading on your own. Hydraulically lowering trailers are a different design that we do not use.
Absolutely – the Hockenheimring is quick to reach from Heidelberg. Many of our customers use the trailer for track days, rider safety training or to take their motorcycle to the dealer. One-day rentals are no problem.
Yes, the trailer has a high payload and is designed for heavy tourers, adventure bikes and superbikes. The front-wheel chock and the wide loading area give big machines a secure hold too.
